From idea to innovation

Propely, formerly called Eiendomsappen, was founded by Kristoffer, Steinar and Ole. The three self-taught developers have experience in game and app development with a focus on user experience. What started as a small hobby project has now evolved into an ambitious company with a vision to transform the property management industry. As an initiative of the real estate industry, it quickly became clear that there was an unmet need for effective communication across channels and people - and this became the start of Propely.

The transformation: programming to call center

Having developed a product that began to sell, the three entrepreneurs realized that they had to take the step out of the “developer basement” and start selling actively. They called clients and booked meetings, and this shift in focus changed their mindset from being technology-driven to becoming customer-driven.

Steinar describes the transition: “Then we closed the PC, put on the headset, and transformed from programming to becoming a calling center”. This was a major change, but necessary to scale the company.

The three entrepreneurs are passionate about finding solutions that they can bring to customers, which is why they have devoted a lot of time to collaborating with customers and iterating solutions based on their needs and feedback.

Customer chat with a superuser

In the podcast you will also hear when Martin McGloin met Simen, the operations manager of Tøyenhagen Condominium in Oslo, who is Propely's most active user. Simen chose Propely because of its user-friendly interface and good understanding of everyday use. He describes the system as easy to use, even for those who are not tech-savvy. This makes work tasks more intuitive and fun to carry out, especially when it comes to dealing with deviations and tasks when on the go.

The road ahead for Propely

After five years, of which three years in full commercial operation, Propely has gained a good foothold in the Norwegian market with over 180 customers. It aims to become the market leader in its segment by next year.

Already integrated with multiple partners, we act as a hub where different solutions can communicate and share data on one platform. Today, we have close to 20 integrations, including finance and management systems, tenant solutions and sensory providers. This allows users to collect all relevant information in one place, which simplifies everyday life and increases efficiency.

Propely AI

Propely recently launched Propely AI, a tool that uses generative AI to manage information retrieval from service reports and service tasks. Customer needs have driven the development of Propely AI, which can now automatically sort and place documents, identify relevant data and report discrepancies. AI technology helps reduce manual processes and increases accuracy in document management.
